Easy roadster
The R12 has sharp handling and a powerful braking system identical to the R12 NineT. The 45mm inverted fork suspension and a monoshock rear set up soaks up the road while the reworked R12 engine puts down a lively 94bhp.
Specification and equipment
The R12 is about simplicity; get up and go riding. Keyless Go, BMW Intelligent Emergency Call system, LED lights and a speedometer with inset digital display come as standard. Choose from a wide variety of optional extras to personalise your bike.
Ownership and economy
With the detuned boxer engine, the light shell and its pretty economical use of tyres, brake pads and other perishables, the R12 is one of the more economical-to-run large capacity BMWs. Then, of course, its great starting price for the standard model.
