Ducati returned to the top step of the podium during Round 9 of the 2025 British Superbike Championship (BSB) as Scott Redding bookended his Assen weekend with two wins from three races.

Marking a first visit to the Netherlands in six years, BSB’s annual overseas jaunt to the so-called ‘Cathedral of Speed’ did its best impression of the UK with changeable conditions on both race days.

Whatever the weather, Ducati's leading riders would star across the three races with Redding (Hager PBM) claiming victory in Races 1 and 3, Leon Haslam (Moto Rapido) picking up a pair of podiums and Rory Skinner (Cheshire Mouldings TAS Racing) enjoying a trip to the rostrum too.

Ex-MotoGP rider Redding demonstrated impressive tenacity in an opening race that began in drizzle but would be stopped mid-way through as torrential rain broke out.

Leading from lap one, Redding sprinted out to a plus-four second lead in just three laps in worsening conditions before controlling the margin back to Haslam until the race was abandoned on lap nine of 18 with half-points awarded.

In Race 2 it was Skinner’s moment to come to the fore, the youngster storming through from 18th on the grid in damp conditions to claim his ninth podium of the year in second.

Redding would go on to pull a similar trick in Race 3 by going from 15th to first in a race that was briefly stopped due to more rain but was ultimately completed in dry weather. Snatching the lead from Haslam on the very last lap, Redding led his Ducati counterpart home for the manufacturer's second 1-2 of the weekend.

For 2019 BSB Champion Redding, his Assen rout marks his third and fourth victories of the season already, despite only returning to the series from Round 5.

While that absence at the start of the year means Redding cannot be considered among the title contenders, Haslam and Skinner retain a slim hope with only two events remaining.

While the respective 111 and 123-point margin to leader Kyle Ryde will be immensely difficult to bridge, the pair have the advantage of knowing the final races award a greater value of points for a win than previous events.

As such, there remains a maximum of 180 points still on the table with six races across events at Oulton Park and Brands Hatch to go.
