2026 Ducati Hypermotard V2 Gets Its World Premiere
Ducati has unveiled the latest generation of its Hypermotard boasting a fresh design and a brand-new V2 engine.
The Ducati Hypermotard V2 and Ducati Hypermotard V2 SP received their public debut ahead of the EICMA show in Milan, becoming the latest in a string of new launches by the Italian manufacturer that are being showcased on home soil.
The Hypermotard V2 follows in the wheel-tracks of the new Ducati Monster V2, the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally, Ducati Panigale V4 R, Ducati Multistrada V4 RS and Ducati Diavel V4 RS, which have been revealed in recent weeks.

Now in its fourth generation, the Hypermotard V2 sees Ducati’s compact, sporty supermoto swap out its 937cc engine for a smaller but lighter and more powerful 890cc V-twin that generates 118.4bhp at 10,750rpm and 94Nm of torque at 8,250rpm.
Phasing out the steel trellis chassis, the 2026 Hypermotard V2 instead favours an aluminium monocoque that bolts to the cylinder heads and a swingarm that connects onto the engine.
The lighter engine and frame means the Hypermotard V2 is also more feathery outright than the model it replaces. Tipping the scales at 180kg (177kg for the SP version), Ducati says the Hypermotard V2 is ‘more nimble, responsive and exciting than ever’.

Both get a Brembo braking system, while the standard Hypermotard comes with Kayaba suspension and the flagship SP gets fully adjustable Ohlins suspension.
The mechanical updates are all wrapped in a fresh new design that Ducati labels ‘robotic and modern’.
Wide handlebars and a narrow middle are still in evidence to conform to supermoto standards, but the Panigale V4-inspired seat and side panels give the Hypermotard a more rounded, premium appearance than before.
The Ducati Hypermotard V2 is set to arrive in Vertu Ducati dealerships in Spring 2026.
