National Dinosaur Day with the Triumph Scrambler

At the weekend we celebrated National Dinosaur Day and what better way to celebrate than with a look at the famous Triumph Scrambler, featured in Jurassic World. In this film, actor Chris Pratt's character, Owen Grady, famously rides a Triumph Scrambler through the jungle, flanked by velociraptors. This iconic scene features one of three custom Scramblers built specifically for the film. Each bike was modified with a single seat, gear rack, Arrow Racing high-level exhaust, custom footpegs and tracker handlebars, all finished in matte green to blend seamlessly with the jungle environment.
After filming concluded, Pratt was so taken with the Scrambler that he asked to keep one, and Triumph obliged. Another was sent to Triumph's UK headquarters for permanent display, while the third was auctioned off to benefit The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, a charity supporting prostate cancer research. This third Scrambler was noted to have small nicks, scratches and even mud remaining from its use on a set. A very valuable addition to any film lover's collection. The collaboration between Triumph and Jurassic World not only showcased the Scrambler's rugged charm but also contributed to a noble cause, raising £28,000 for charity.
The Scrambler itself is based on Triumph's Bonneville model, featuring a twin-cylinder 865cc engine. While designed with off-road aesthetics, it's more suited for on-road adventures. Although perfect if you're off-roading on Isla Nublar.
