New Lick of Paint for Honda CB650R and CBR650R
The last couple of years have seen sizeable design and technology updates for the Neo Sports Cafe style Honda CB650R and, its racing-inspired sister-bike, the Honda CBR650R. For this year Honda are keeping it sweet and simple with new, stand out colourways for the pair.
The CBR650R will be available in its new Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic with fluorescent yellow accents paintwork and the CB650R in Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic, Mat Blue Jeans Metallic, Candy Energy Orange or Grand Prix Red, all with Graphite Black Metallic details and all are new to the model.
As of last year both bikes have been available with the Honda E-Clutch technology, proving to be a popular addition to many new bikes as it's assistance driven enough for new riders to feel the benefit, without being too intrusive to seasoned riders and those with a preference for manual transmissions.
Engine performance remains the same, both with 93 bhp and 63Nm of pulling power, and work with Honda Selectable Torque Control mean rear wheel traction is perfectly balanced. Partnered with four-piston radial mount front calipers and a 120/70-ZR17 and 180/55-ZR17 tyre combination, the bikes have the stopping power and grip to be ready for anything the Great British weather can throw your way. To put the cherry on the cake for on-road handling, both bikes come with 41mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston USD forks, soaking up any lumps and bumps in the road and enhancing the riding feel. They're also available in an A2 licence-friendly option.
You can make use of a five-inch TFT screen with Honda RoadSync and backlit left hand switch gear, along with all-round LED lighting, perfect for the darker mornings and evenings.
