In the lead up to freedom, Honda have asked journalist and author Simon Weir to blog his thoughts on riding post-lockdown.
Simon spent more than 15 years and 500,000 miles testing motorcycles for Bike, Performance Bikes and RiDE – before quitting to ride to Australia.
His books Bikers’ Britain and Bikers’ Britain: The Tours are the best-selling guides to routes in the UK.
When thinking about his tours planned for later this year, Simon comments on some of the best places across Britain to ride through: ‘There’s so much fantastic riding to discover in every corner of the country and there are roads to suit all kinds of motorcycles – whether you ride a big, mile-munching machine like my CrossTourer or a sporting weapon like the Fireblade, a modern super-naked like the CB1000R or a cruiser like the new CMX1100 REBEL.’
