Honda bikes on top with new models and top awards
Honda received two of the 13 awards at the inaugural Auto Trader Best Bikes Awards. They won in the category for Best A2, with the CBR500R and Best Commuter for the NC750X.
Award categories were based on those defined by the Motorcycle Industry Association such as sports bikes, naked bikes and tourers. However, categories such as AM, A1 and A2 were also included by the panel to ensure the awards reflect every type of bike and every personality of biker.
Auto Trader Bikes Editor-in-Chief Jon Quirk commented: 'Auto Trader Bikes has been helping people find their dream bike since 1996, but this year we have extended our commitment to the industry and the public.
"Our award winners have been carefully selected by a panel who live and breathe bikes every day. In a market which has showed signs of renewed confidence, we hope this new initiative will go some way to helping keep sales buoyant until the end of the year."
All winners were featured on the Auto Trader Bikes stand at Motorcycle Live this weekend. Honda also featured on their own stand at the Motorcycle Live 2014 show, revealing for the first time the latest member of the CB-F family the CB125F.
Extensively revised with 'naked' style plus a responsive new chassis and six-spoke 18-inch wheels. Built for real-world usability, its new air-cooled engine delivers strong low to mid-range torque, and features a balance shaft and revised PGM-FI settings. Build quality is also enhanced, while purchase and ownership costs remain outstandingly attractive.
The CB125F is perfectly aligned with Honda's ongoing commitment to introducing fresh entrants to both the brand and to motorcycling. From its 'My First Licence' initiative to its involvement in the industry-led Get On campaign and the launch of the 'Honda School of Motorcycling' earlier this year.
